Yesterday, Luna surprised us by giving birth to six puppies — and she picked a quiet, hidden spot under the barn to do it. When I peeked in this morning, I saw six tiny puppies snuggled up to her. Luna looked calm, proud, and completely in control.

We made sure:
The puppies were warm and nursing
Luna was relaxed and showing no signs of distress
The area was safe — but being under the barn wasn’t ideal for long
So, once we saw everything was stable, we gently moved Luna and her puppies to the dog house. It’s more comfortable for her, easier for us to check on them, and better protected from the elements and farm traffic.

Luna settled in right away, and the pups didn’t miss a beat. Everyone’s eating, sleeping, and squeaking just as they should.
🐾 Quick update: All six pups are doing great! Luna’s taking excellent care of them, and we’re checking in daily to make sure things stay that way.
